We provide food, housing, warmth and other essential services to Jackson County’s low income children, families, seniors and people with disabilities.
As the Community Action Agency of Jackson County, OREGON, ACCESS has been helping Jackson County residents break the cycle of poverty since 1976. With a focus on education, ACCESS helps people through economic crisis by guiding them through changes in habits to help them become self-sustaining. ACCESS currently serves local residents through 15 programs designed to address problems from one-time emergencies to longer-term issues.
Services to the Community
Energy & Weatherization: No matter what time of year, energy costs can be high. ACCESS Energy and Weatherization programs help address immediate needs as well as long term solutions to save energy and reduce energy consumption.
Food Assistance: We Providing healthy food to feed hungry families and individuals, because no one should ever go hungry.ACCESS is committed to addressing hunger needs within our community through different programs and services.
Housing: The ACCESS Housing Department is dedicated to the creation of affordable housing and rental assistance as well as programs, resources and services that offer low to moderate income people the opportunity to live in decent, safe, housing.
Outreach & Referral: The Outreach & Referral department is a one-stop resource providing the community with information and assistance about the valuable services and products available to low-income residents.The objective is to maintain knowledgeable staff to answer the phone with a personal touch. We are dedicated to assisting clients through the complex and often cumbersome social service system.
The Senior and Disabled Outreach Program
Provides special services to vulnerable people in our community. Through home visits and referrals, the program helps people live independently in a safe and healthy environment.
